Use the normal list delete gesture for one record. If an import added many unwanted records, touch and hold a birthday to enter selection mode.

Delete several birthdays

  1. On the Birthdays list, touch and hold the first birthday you want to remove.
  2. Tap other rows to add or remove them from the selection.
  3. To select the entire list, choose Select All at the start of the list. Choose Deselect All to clear it.
  4. Choose Delete. The button shows the number currently selected.
  5. Review the confirmation and choose Delete again.

Before you finish

  • Choose Cancel to leave selection mode without deleting anything.
  • Deleting a birthday also cancels its scheduled notifications.
  • When iCloud Sync is enabled, deletion can propagate to your other signed-in devices.
  • Calendar events already exported to Apple Calendar are separate and are not removed automatically.

Tips

  • After a large import, sort out the records you want to keep before using Select All.
  • Confirm the selected count before deleting a large batch.
