Contacts import reads supported birthday fields after you grant access. You decide which matching contacts to import.

Steps

  1. Open the ••• menu, choose Import, then choose Import From Contacts.
  2. Grant Contacts access when iOS asks.
  3. Wait for contacts containing birthday information to load.
  4. Select the people you want. Use Select All at the start of the list if every visible contact should be included.
  5. Check the count in the Import button, complete the import, and review the resulting records.

Before you finish

  • Only contacts with usable birthday data can appear.
  • The import creates records; later Contacts edits may not automatically update them.
  • diBirthday avoids adding an exact same-name and same-date record, but records with changed names or dates can still appear as duplicates.

Tips

  • Import a small batch first.
  • Check calendar type and year after import.
  • If you import too many records, touch and hold a birthday in the main list to enter batch selection.
