Contacts import reads supported birthday fields after you grant access. You decide which matching contacts to import.

Steps

  1. Choose Import From Contacts.
  2. Grant Contacts access when iOS asks.
  3. Wait for contacts containing birthday information to load.
  4. Select the people you want.
  5. Import and review the resulting diBirthday records.

Before you finish

  • Only contacts with usable birthday data can appear.
  • The import creates records; later Contacts edits may not automatically update them.
  • Running import again can create duplicates if the same people are selected again.

Tips

  • Import a small batch first.
  • Check calendar type and year after import.
