The export command processes the complete diBirthday list. It automatically uses an editable calendar named diBirthday. If that calendar does not exist, the app creates it and then adds all-day events with titles such as Alex’s Birthday.

Steps

  1. Review the complete Birthdays list before exporting.
  2. Open the ••• menu and choose Export Birthdays to Calendar.
  3. Grant Calendar access if iOS requests it.
  4. Wait while diBirthday finds or creates the diBirthday calendar.
  5. If the selected calendar account does not allow a new calendar to be created, choose an existing writable calendar or create one from the fallback screen.
  6. Review the Export Status message, then open Apple Calendar and check the target calendar.

Before you finish

  • Export creates separate Calendar events; it is not a live sync. Run the export again after editing a birthday so diBirthday can update the matching event when its saved identifier is still available.
  • The command exports all current birthday records; it does not provide a per-person selection screen.
  • diBirthday remembers exported event identifiers and updates matching exports when possible. Do not manually duplicate or move exported events if you plan to export again.
  • Gregorian birthdays are exported as yearly recurring events. For supported non-Gregorian dates and preset events, diBirthday exports the next 10 calculated occurrences.

Tips

  • Keep the dedicated diBirthday calendar enabled in Apple Calendar if you want the events to remain visible.
  • Deleting a birthday in diBirthday does not remove an event that was already exported.
