/Library/Audio is a top-level shared folder on macOS that stores system-wide audio-related resources. Music production tools, DAWs, virtual instruments, effects plug-ins, and some hardware drivers may place files here so they are available across the Mac.

This folder is commonly used by legitimate audio software and by macOS-compatible plug-in formats. Removing items from it can break audio plug-ins, virtual instruments, MIDI device support, or sound processing features in apps that depend on them. The folder itself is a normal shared library location and should not be treated as junk.
Recommendation: Keep /Library/Audio unless you are specifically troubleshooting or removing known audio software. If you review contents, only consider uninstalling files that clearly belong to apps or plug-ins you no longer use, preferably with the vendor's uninstaller or documented removal steps.
