I Application Support
This iCloud Drive support folder can store CloudDocs session data and document version remnants, and it may grow large when sync or app versioning misbehaves.
What is I Application Support?
~/Library/Application Support/CloudDocs/session/i is a support folder used by Apple's CloudDocs system, which backs iCloud Drive on macOS. It can contain session-related data tied to iCloud document syncing, document version handling, or temporary state for files managed through iCloud Drive, including apps such as Pages, Numbers, and other document-based software. Users often notice it only when storage tools report unusually large space usage inside CloudDocs.

Safety overview
Status: Use with caution
This is not a normal user document folder, but deleting it can remove locally stored iCloud document state, unsynced changes, or document versions. If iCloud Drive is actively syncing, removal may lead to re-downloads, version loss, or conflicts. Risk is higher if you have recently edited iCloud documents or see sync problems.
Recommendation: Review the contents before removing anything. If the folder is small, leave it alone. If it is unusually large and you suspect stale document versions or broken sync data, first make sure important iCloud files are fully synced and backed up, then quit affected document apps and let iCloud Drive finish syncing. A cautious approach is to copy the folder elsewhere as a backup, then remove only the contents of ~/Library/Application Support/CloudDocs/session/i and restart the Mac or sign out and back into iCloud Drive if needed. Expect macOS to recreate needed session data. Do not delete it while documents are open or while iCloud Drive shows active syncing.
