What is Caches?
~/Library/Containers/com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro/Data/Library/Caches is the cache folder for Adobe Acrobat running in its macOS container. It holds temporary data that Acrobat creates while opening PDFs, rendering pages, storing reusable resources, and supporting faster access to recent working data. Cache files help the app feel quicker, but they are not the same as your saved PDF documents or long-term settings. If this folder is removed, Acrobat can rebuild it the next time you open the app, although the first launch or the next few document actions may feel slower. Cache contents are temporary and are normally recreated by the app, but deleting them while Acrobat is open can cause errors, force reloads, or discard unfinished temporary work such as unsaved session state tied to current app activity. Quit Acrobat before removing cache files, and do not confuse this folder with document locations or other Adobe data folders that may store settings or user content.
Recommendation: Keep this folder if Adobe Acrobat is working normally. Remove its contents only when you need to free some space or troubleshoot loading and rendering problems, then reopen Acrobat and allow it to rebuild the cache. If you no longer use Adobe Acrobat, deleting this cache folder is a reasonable cleanup step and should only remove temporary data.
