Trash
The Trash folder stores files and folders you’ve moved to the Trash in your user account until they are emptied or restored.
What is Trash?
Trash is the special folder in your home directory where macOS keeps items you delete from Finder before they are permanently erased. People commonly encounter it when recovering accidentally deleted files, checking what is waiting to be removed, or freeing up disk space by emptying the Trash.

Emptying or deleting contents from this folder is generally safe if you no longer need those items, but anything still in Trash may be recoverable until it is removed. Deleting files from Trash permanently can result in data loss if important documents, photos, or app data were placed there by mistake.
Recommendation: Keep items in Trash only if you may want to restore them. If you have reviewed the contents and do not need them, emptying Trash is usually fine. Check carefully for personal files or project data before permanently removing anything.
