Application Support
The ~/Library/Application Support folder stores app data and shared resources that many Mac apps need to run and keep their settings.
What is Application Support?
~/Library/Application Support is a standard macOS user-library folder where applications save support files such as databases, downloaded resources, login data, templates, helper content, and other working data. Many apps create their own subfolders here, and users often encounter it when troubleshooting storage use, resetting an app, or reviewing what software has left behind in their account.

This folder is normal and widely used by apps. Deleting the entire folder or removing subfolders without knowing which app they belong to can break app features, sign you out, remove local data, or force apps to rebuild content.
Recommendation: Keep the main ~/Library/Application Support folder. If you are cleaning up space, review individual app subfolders and only remove ones that clearly belong to apps you have already uninstalled or no longer use. If a subfolder belongs to an app you still use, leave it unless you are intentionally resetting that app and understand the data loss risk.
