The Moon section describes the current calculated lunar phase and illuminated percentage using the saved city’s time zone.
How to use this information
- Open a saved city and locate Moon.
- Confirm that you opened the intended city.
- Read the phase name together with illumination rather than using either value alone.
Important details
- Illumination is the approximate portion of the lunar disk lit from the viewing context.
- Visibility also depends on moonrise, weather, horizon, and local light pollution.
- Moving the time slider on the main World Clock screen does not change the Moon section in the city Information sheet.
Practical tips
- Use moon data as general context, not a guarantee of visibility.
- Recheck the selected city when values seem unrelated to your location.
