The Sun section in a city’s Information sheet shows calculated sunrise, sunset, and day length for the current date. These values use the saved city’s coordinates and time zone.
Steps
- Open a saved city.
- Find the Sun section.
- Find the Sun section.
- Read sunrise and sunset as local times for that city.
- Read Day Length as the interval between the calculated sunrise and sunset.
Before you finish
- Terrain, buildings, weather, and polar conditions can affect what you observe even when astronomical calculations are correct.
- The Information sheet currently calculates Sun values for today. Moving the main World Clock time slider does not change this section.

- Do not treat astronomical times as a weather forecast.
