Reset permissions when prompts repeat, diCleaner reports the wrong status, or macOS associates access with an obsolete copy.

Reset Home-folder authorization

In the App Store edition:

  1. Open Settings → Privacy.
  2. Choose Remove Access under Home Folder Access.
  3. Confirm.
  4. Quit diCleaner.
  5. Reopen it and start a tool that needs the Home folder.
  6. Select the Home folder itself.

This removes a saved authorization; it does not delete Home-folder contents.

Refresh Full Disk Access

  1. Quit every copy of diCleaner.
  2. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access.
  3. Disable the active diCleaner entry.
  4. Remove obsolete duplicate entries when macOS permits it.
  5. Add or enable the copy stored in Applications.
  6. Reopen diCleaner.
  7. Start a new scan.

Restart the Mac if macOS continues to report the earlier state.

Review Photos and media permissions

Use the relevant Privacy & Security categories to change access. Quit and reopen diCleaner after making the change.

Avoid repeated resets

Keep one active copy in Applications and do not rename or move it between launches. A reset will not repair a damaged disk, unsupported location, ignore rule, or network-service problem.

What is not reset

Changing permissions does not undo cleanup, restore deleted data, cancel online requests already completed, or necessarily reset scan preferences.
