diCleaner Menu can keep recent clipboard items available from the menu bar so you can find and copy them again without returning to the original app.
Turn on clipboard history
- Open diCleaner Settings → Menu.
- Turn on Show Clipboard.
- Open diCleaner Menu from the macOS menu bar.
- Choose a retention option in the Clipboard card to start recording.
Turn off clipboard history from the Clipboard card when you no longer want new items recorded. You can also hide the card from Settings → Menu.
Review recent items
The Clipboard card previews the current item. Open it to browse supported recent clipboard content, including text, rich text, images, files, and URLs.
Use search to narrow the visible history. Choose Copy on an item to place it back on the macOS clipboard, then paste it into the destination app normally.
Some source apps use private clipboard formats. diCleaner preserves supported standard representations when possible, but an item may look or paste differently from the original.
Keep favorites
Select the heart on an item to add it to Favorites. Use the Clipboard and Favorites tabs to switch between recent history and saved items.
Favorites are kept when diCleaner trims history according to the selected retention option or when you clear regular clipboard history. Remove the favorite status first if you also want that item removed during a later clear.
Choose how long history is kept
In Settings → Menu, choose whether diCleaner keeps:
- Up to 100 recent items.
- Items from the last day, week, month, or year.
- Items until you remove them manually.
Changing to a shorter retention period can remove older non-favorite items. Review the confirmation before applying the change.
Clear clipboard history
Choose Clear in the clipboard-history window, or Erase History… in Settings → Menu, to remove non-favorite history.
This clears records maintained by diCleaner Clipboard History. It does not erase content already pasted into another app, history stored by another clipboard manager, or the original files represented by copied file items.
Clipboard History is different from Privacy → Clipboard Cleanup, which clears the item currently held by the general macOS clipboard.
Privacy considerations
Clipboard content can include passwords, access codes, private messages, images, and file names. Choose a retention period that matches how you use your Mac, review Favorites periodically, and turn recording off when handling information you do not want retained in history.
