Menu shortcuts reduce navigation time, while uninstall monitoring can offer a related-file review after an application is removed.
Tool shortcuts
Choose a shortcut only when you intend to open that tool. The shortcut may bring diCleaner forward, request a folder, or prepare a scan. It does not make the result safe to delete without review.
If a shortcut is unavailable, open the main window and check whether the feature exists in your edition.
Uninstall monitoring
Monitoring watches for supported application-removal events. When it notices one, diCleaner can offer to search for related files.
The alert may not mean the app was intentionally uninstalled. An application updater can replace or move a bundle temporarily, and a user can move an app between disks.
Before confirming related-file removal:
- Confirm the application is actually gone.
- Check whether an update is running.
- Review every proposed path.
- Preserve documents, projects, presets, and shared developer data.
- Cancel if you intend to restore or move the app.
Monitoring limitations
Monitoring may not see every removal while its component is not running. It also cannot guarantee that every related file belongs exclusively to the removed application.
