The minimum-size threshold determines which files are considered for the Large & Old result. It does not delete or hide files in Finder.
Change the threshold
- Open diCleaner Settings.
- Select Scanning.
- Choose Large & Old Files.
- Enter or step to the desired value in MB.
- Close Settings and start a new scan.
Existing results do not update automatically.
Choose a useful value
- Use a higher value when storage is critically low and you want to inspect only very large files.
- Use a moderate value for routine review.
- Use a lower value only when you are prepared to inspect many more results.
The default 50 MB is a general starting point, not a recommendation to remove every file larger than 50 MB.
Age and dates
File systems expose created, modified, and access-related dates differently. Copying, restoring, synchronizing, or editing a file can change them.
Use age as a review signal, not proof of disuse.
Restore the default
Use Default in the threshold editor. Start a new scan after restoring it.
If an expected file remains missing, also check the selected folder, ignore rules, cloud availability, and permissions.
