Duplicate comparison can require reading large numbers of files. The minimum-size setting excludes smaller files before full comparison.
Change the setting
Open Settings → Scanning → Duplicate Files. The default minimum is 200 KB. Values below 1 MB are displayed in KB and larger values in MB.
Start a new scan after changing it.
Lower values
Lowering the threshold can find duplicate documents and small assets but increases enumeration, comparison work, and result volume. Thousands of tiny duplicates may save little meaningful space.
Higher values
Raising it focuses on large media, archives, installers, and other high-impact files. Smaller duplicates will not appear.
Zero or very small values
Use extreme settings only for a narrow folder. Scanning an entire Home folder with a very low value can be slow and difficult to review safely.
Missing results
Threshold is only one filter. Check access, ignore rules, cloud placeholders, unsupported items, and whether the chosen locations actually overlap the copies you expect.
Use Default to return to 200 KB.
