Does scanning remove files?

No. Removal begins only after you review a result and confirm an action.

Should every selected item be removed?

Review the list yourself. Deselect offline content, active update data, recent diagnostics, recovery files, and anything unfamiliar.

Why is a category missing?

It may contain no supported candidates, be inaccessible, be excluded, or not exist in your macOS or application version.

Why did the app become slower once?

It may be rebuilding cache or downloading content again.

Why is Trash empty in diCleaner?

Some Trash locations require Full Disk Access. The tool may also be unavailable in an edition or the items may belong to another volume.

Are Mail attachments deleted from the message?

The tool targets supported local cached attachment data. Verify that the original message or another copy remains available before removal.

Can update cache be removed anytime?

No. Do not remove it while an update is downloading, preparing, installing, or waiting to restart.

Why did free space increase by a different amount?

File-system allocation, purgeable storage, snapshots, skipped files, and immediate cache recreation affect the displayed result.

Can cleaned items be restored?

Recovery depends on the tool, Trash behavior, backups, cloud history, and storage. Maintain a current backup before cleaning.
