Related applications can share account state, documents, templates, databases, subscriptions, or communication through a group container.

A related-file scan can associate the shared path with the app being uninstalled, but another installed app may still depend on it.

Before removal:

  • Look for other apps from the developer.
  • Check the container identifier and path.
  • Export unique data.
  • Deselect the shared container when ownership is uncertain.

Remove it later only after all dependent apps are gone and the data is no longer needed.

Preserving shared data can leave some settings after uninstall, which is safer than deleting another app’s active database.
