Preserve application data for reinstallation

Use the app’s export or backup feature first. Record account and licensing requirements.

During related-file review, preserve:

• User projects and documents.
• Presets, templates, and plug-ins.
• Databases and libraries.
• Preferences you want restored.
• License or activation data when permitted.

Caches and logs are usually less important, but offline content may be expensive to recreate.

Reinstall from the official source and open the app before restoring data. A newer version can require migration, so keep a backup of the preserved originals.
