Widget refreshes are scheduled by iOS and can lag behind recent changes. A persistent blank state may indicate that the app has not supplied current data to the widget.
Checks to make
- Open diBirthday and confirm the list itself is correct.
- Wait briefly after saving changes.
- Remove and add the widget again if it remains blank.
- Restart the device if multiple widgets are failing.
- Check iCloud Sync separately if the list is stale inside the app too.
What the result tells you
- Low Power Mode and system scheduling can reduce refresh frequency.
- The widget is a view of app data, not a separate backup.
Before trying again
- Open the app after an update or device restart.
- Use notifications, not only widgets, for important alerts.
