Microsoft Rewards
Microsoft Rewards lets Mac users track reward points and complete daily offers through Microsoft's rewards program and Safari extension.
What is Microsoft Rewards?
Microsoft Rewards is Microsoft's loyalty program for earning points through eligible activities and redeeming them for gift cards, sweepstakes entries, donations, and other rewards. On Mac, users may encounter it as the Microsoft Rewards for Safari app, which adds quick access to offers, point tracking, and rewards pages in Safari. It is aimed at people who already use a Microsoft account and want an easier way to monitor daily tasks tied to the rewards program. Common uses include checking point balances, opening the rewards dashboard, and completing day-to-day offers without navigating through multiple web pages. Because the service is account-based, its main value comes from users who regularly use Microsoft's search, shopping, or other participating services.

Safety overview
Status: Safe
This is a legitimate Microsoft rewards product. It typically works with your Microsoft account and may access browsing-related activity within Safari to surface offers and track eligible rewards actions, which is normal for a rewards extension. Use it only if you want Microsoft Rewards features on your Mac, and review the extension permissions and privacy details in Safari if you prefer to limit account-linked activity.
Recommendation: Keep it if you actively use Microsoft Rewards and want easier access to points, offers, and redemption pages on your Mac. If you do not use the rewards program, you can remove it without affecting macOS itself, though you may lose quick access to rewards features in Safari.
