On World Clock, open More (the ellipsis in the upper-left corner), then choose Settings.
Choose a time format
Open Time Format and choose:
- Follow System to use your device’s time-format preference.
- 24-Hour Time for times such as 18:30.
- 12-Hour Time for times such as 6:30 PM.
The preference applies to clocks in the app and widgets, as well as formatted sunrise and sunset times. It does not change a city’s time zone, the selected date, or the actual moment being compared. Widget changes may take time to appear.
Show or hide illustrations
Use Show Artwork to show or hide city and country illustrations. Turn it off if you prefer a simpler background. This setting does not remove your saved locations or change their times.
Choose how timeline markers line up
Enable Align timeline markers to line up the selected-time markers across city rows. The daylight bars then share a time reference based on your device’s time zone, making it easier to compare daylight at the same moment.
With this setting off, each city’s bar uses its own local day, so the selected-time markers can appear at different positions. Neither choice changes the city times themselves.
Move the time slider
Enable Place slider on the right to put the vertical time slider on the right edge. Turn it off to use the left edge. Its date and time controls work the same way on either side.
Show English location names
On non-English devices, Show original English names lets you display the bundled English location names. This changes how names are shown, not the selected locations or their time zones.
