Choose a widget based on whether you want Local Time, saved cities, or astronomical information.

The configurable Home Screen widgets and the three specialist Home Screen widgets require iOS 17.6 or later in this version. World Clock also supports rectangular, circular, and inline Lock Screen positions on supported systems. City Weather Clock is available in the rectangular Lock Screen position: it shows the first saved city on iOS 16 through iOS 17.5 and supports city selection on iOS 17.6 or later.
Add a Home Screen widget
- Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen.
- Open the widget gallery and search for diClock.
- Choose the widget name and size you want.
- Add it, finish editing, and verify the locations and time.
- For a configurable widget, touch and hold it and choose Edit Widget to select a saved city.
Add a Lock Screen widget
- Touch and hold the Lock Screen, then tap Customize.
- Select the Lock Screen and tap the widget area.
- Find diClock and add World Clock or City Weather Clock in a supported position.
- Tap a configurable City Weather Clock widget to choose a saved city when that option is available.
- Finish editing and verify the city, time, and weather.
Before you finish
- Use More > Sort and Delete in diClock to change the order used by list widgets.
- Time Format in diClock Settings offers Follow System, 24-Hour Time, and 12-Hour Time, and also applies to widgets.
- Temperature Unit in diClock Settings offers Follow System, Celsius (°C), and Fahrenheit (°F), and also applies to widget temperatures.
- Show Widget Artwork is on by default and adds a city or country illustration when one is available. Turn it off in diClock Settings for a simpler layout with larger time text. It does not disable weather backgrounds or weather symbols.
- Widgets display their own current timeline; selecting another time in the main app does not turn clock widgets into historical previews.
- iOS controls widget refresh timing. Weather effects in widgets are static, unlike animations in the open app. Their colors still follow each city’s local day or night.
Tips
- Open diClock after installation and add the locations you want before configuring widgets.
- Configure the cities and preferred hours in the app’s Contact Time screen before using its widget.
