Confirm the app is closed
Quit its windows, menu helper, updater, background service, and installer. Restart the Mac when a process cannot be closed safely.
Run a fresh inventory
The app may have moved or updated after scanning. Rescan and verify the current bundle path.
Review protected files
Full Disk Access can be needed for supported protected containers. A specific system-owned action may require administrator authorization.
Use the vendor uninstaller
Security software, device drivers, VPNs, virtualization, and other specialized products may install components that their own uninstaller understands best.
Scan leftovers afterward
Once the official uninstall is complete, use Leftovers and review each candidate. Preserve shared developer data and documents.
Do not force removal of an unfamiliar service by weakening macOS security.
