Record thresholds, ignore rules, menu selections, appearance, remembered navigation, and lookup-confirmation preferences.
Install the same intended edition on the destination Mac. Migration software may copy some preferences, but review every value.
Grant Home folder, Full Disk Access, Photos, media, selected folders, and Login Items separately. These are security decisions for the new Mac.
Check whether ignored paths exist in the new file structure. Remove obsolete rules.
Start fresh scans. Do not transfer old results as instructions for a different disk and application layout.
