diCleaner Settings groups preferences by purpose. Changes normally apply to future behavior and do not alter files already processed.

General

General settings control supported application behavior such as whether diCleaner remembers the last sidebar category. Disable remembered navigation if you prefer the app to open at Overview each time.

Review update behavior and startup-related choices according to the edition you installed.

Appearance

Appearance settings control supported visual preferences. Choose a style that remains readable in your normal macOS light or dark environment.

If a visual change appears inconsistent, close and reopen the affected window. Reset to the default when diagnosing layout or contrast problems.

Menu settings determine which supported status information and shortcuts appear in the menu-bar component. Enabling fewer items can reduce clutter and background refresh work.

Startup behavior can also depend on macOS Login Items settings. When the two disagree, review System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions.

Settings and editions

Some controls appear only when the related feature is available. The App Store and direct editions can present different permission and feature options.

Reset a preference

Use an individual Default or reset control when provided. Change one setting at a time so you can identify which preference affected the behavior.
