Declining a macOS prompt does not delete or change files. The result depends on the tool:
- It can continue with accessible locations.
- It can omit a protected category.
- It can show an access-required message.
- It can return to the tool’s start screen.
- It can ask again the next time you start that task.
Treat a result produced after denial as limited in scope. An empty result can mean “nothing accessible was found,” not “the location contains nothing.”
You can grant access later. Reopen the tool, authorize the intended folder or system permission, and start a new scan.
Do not grant unrelated permissions to correct a denied folder. Match the permission to the location named by the tool.
