Disabling prevents supported automatic startup while leaving the application installed. Removing a startup definition is a stronger action and can be reversed only if the app or a backup recreates it.
Before changing an item
Save work, identify the owner, and read what the helper provides. Use the owning app’s preference when it offers a supported “start at login” control.
Apply the change
- Open Optimize → Startup Management.
- Select one item.
- Review its path and owner.
- Choose the supported disable or removal action.
- Confirm macOS authorization if it matches your choice.
Test
Sign out or restart when required. Open the owning app and test synchronization, devices, updates, menu controls, and other expected functions.
Restore
Re-enable the item in diCleaner or macOS Login Items. If it was removed, use the application’s setting or reinstall the app from its official source.
Item returns
The application may consider its helper required and reinstall it during launch or update. Change the app’s own preference or contact its developer instead of repeatedly removing the file.
