ZoomVDIUninstaller
ZoomVDIUninstaller is Zoom’s macOS uninstaller utility for removing the Zoom VDI plugin used with virtual desktop environments.
What is ZoomVDIUninstaller?
ZoomVDIUninstaller is a macOS utility from Zoom Video Communications, Inc. that removes the Zoom VDI plugin from a local Mac. The Zoom VDI plugin is used when people join Zoom Meetings or use Zoom Phone inside supported virtual desktop environments such as Citrix or VMware Horizon, with the plugin installed on the endpoint device to improve media handling. Users typically encounter ZoomVDIUninstaller during IT-managed deployments, troubleshooting, version replacement, or full cleanup of Zoom VDI components. Its role is narrow and task-focused: it helps remove the VDI plugin package rather than serving as a general meeting client or communication app. This is most relevant in business and enterprise desktop workflows where Macs connect to hosted Windows desktops or other VDI sessions.

- Remove the Zoom VDI plugin from a Mac
- Support cleanup during VDI plugin upgrades or redeployment

Safety overview
Status: Safe
This is a legitimate Zoom removal utility tied to the Zoom VDI plugin workflow on macOS. Its normal action is to uninstall VDI plugin components from the local Mac, which can affect Zoom optimization inside supported virtual desktop sessions until the plugin is reinstalled. That behavior is expected for an uninstaller. If you still use Zoom in a VDI environment provided by your workplace or school, avoid removing it unless you are troubleshooting or following deployment guidance.
Recommendation: Keep ZoomVDIUninstaller only if you actively manage or troubleshoot Zoom VDI components on this Mac. If you do not use Zoom through a virtual desktop environment, or the related plugin has already been removed, you can remove this utility without affecting ordinary non-VDI apps beyond the Zoom VDI plugin workflow.
