Wire is legitimate communication software for messaging and calls. On macOS it may request access to the microphone and camera when you place calls or join video conversations, which is normal for its purpose. Messages, files, and account activity can be sensitive, so use a strong account password and review who can access your device and account. If you no longer use Wire, removing the app may also remove local app data and offline conversation access on that Mac.
