Safety overview
Status: Safe
WarnWetter is a legitimate public weather app. Location access and notifications are normal if you want nearby alerts and push warnings, and denying those permissions mainly limits location-based features and alert convenience. The app may use network access regularly to refresh warnings and forecast data. Keep notification settings limited to the alerts you want, especially if you do not need frequent local updates.
Recommendation: Keep WarnWetter if you use official weather warnings, local forecasts, or severe weather alerts in Germany. Remove it only if you no longer use the app, knowing that you will lose saved locations, notification settings, and quick access to official warning information.
