War Thunder Launcher

What is War Thunder Launcher?

War Thunder Launcher is the macOS app used to download, update, repair, and launch War Thunder on a Mac. It is intended for players who install the native Mac version of the game and need a single place to manage game files before playing. The launcher handles initial installation, delivers game updates, and starts the game client after required files are in place. It is part of the normal War Thunder setup and is commonly encountered when installing the game from the official War Thunder website. Mac players typically use it to keep the game current, adjust what gets downloaded, and open the game without managing files manually. War Thunder is published by Gaijin Entertainment Corporation and supports online play on macOS with an active internet connection.

Safety overview

Status: Safe

This launcher is a normal part of installing and running War Thunder on macOS. It needs network access to download game data, apply updates, and start the online game, which is expected for its purpose. Removing it will usually prevent you from updating or launching the Mac version of War Thunder until you reinstall it. As with any game launcher, download it from the official War Thunder site and keep macOS security prompts and game updates in place.

Recommendation: Keep War Thunder Launcher if you play War Thunder on this Mac. Remove it only if you no longer use the game, and expect that uninstalling it may also stop access to installed game files or future updates until the launcher is installed again.
