Safelight

What is Safelight?

Safelight is a photo and print-ordering app that helps customers place print orders, access their account, download film scans, and buy photo gifts. It is offered by Safelight Imaging LLC and is listed for iPhone, iPad, and Mac compatibility through Apple’s App Store. On Mac, the app is available on Apple silicon systems running macOS 12 or later. The app is designed for people who use Safelight Imaging’s lab services and want a direct way to submit photos, review account information, and manage orders. Common tasks include ordering prints for pickup or shipping, retrieving completed scans, and checking out from a personal account tied to the lab’s services. This makes it most useful for customers who regularly work with photo printing and film development workflows.

Key features

• Order photo prints for local pickup or shipping
• Access your Safelight Imaging account from the app
• Download completed film scans
• Order photo gifts from your images
• Browse and select photos from your library for print orders

Safety overview

Status: Mostly safe

Safelight is a legitimate customer app for a photo lab service. Access to your photo library, account details, contact information, payment details, and shipping information is normal for placing print orders and downloading scans. If you use it, review the photos you select before ordering and make sure you are comfortable storing order history and account information with the service.

Recommendation: Keep Safelight if you use Safelight Imaging for prints, film scans, or photo gifts. If you no longer order through this lab, you can remove the app without affecting macOS, though you may lose quick access to past orders and in-app account convenience.
