Roon is a legitimate music application, but it may request access to music folders, external drives, media keys, local network devices, and in some setups Full Disk Access so it can scan libraries and run its server component correctly. Those permissions are consistent with its purpose, especially when you use the Mac to host a library or stream to other devices. Review any launch-at-login setting and network access if you only want local playback on one Mac.
Recommendation: Keep Roon if you use it to manage a music library, stream to audio equipment, or control playback around your home. If you no longer use Roon or its server features, removing it can also stop background library and network activity tied to your listening setup.
