res-downloader
res-downloader is a macOS desktop app for capturing and downloading media resources such as video, audio, images, and m3u8 streams.
What is res-downloader?
res-downloader is a desktop utility that helps users capture and download online media resources that are discovered through a local proxy. It is available for macOS and can be used to collect videos, audio, images, live streams, and m3u8-based media from supported websites and apps. The app presents captured resources in a graphical interface, lets users organize download tasks, and also exposes command-line automation for querying resources and controlling downloads. It is aimed at people who need a more guided workflow than browser developer tools or general-purpose proxy utilities. The product documentation also covers plugin-based site support and local automation features for advanced workflows. Wails is the application framework used to build the desktop app.

Safety overview
Status: Use with caution
This app works by routing traffic through a local proxy and can use HTTPS interception certificates to inspect supported media requests. That level of access is central to its purpose, but it also means the app may handle browsing and app traffic that passes through the proxy while capture is enabled. Use it only when you understand that behavior, close or disable capture when you are finished, and avoid using it on sensitive accounts or networks unless you are comfortable with the privacy implications.
Recommendation: Keep res-downloader if you actively use it to capture and save online media. If you no longer need that workflow, you can remove it; doing so will stop its download and capture features and may leave previously downloaded files wherever you saved them.
