PPTControl Desktop
PPTControl Desktop is a macOS presentation companion app that connects your Mac to the PPTControl mobile app for remote slide control and presenter tools.
What is PPTControl Desktop?
PPTControl Desktop is a native macOS presentation companion app that works with the PPTControl mobile app on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. It helps presenters control slides on a Mac from a phone or tablet while staying away from the keyboard. The app is designed for presentation workflows using Microsoft PowerPoint, Apple Keynote, and Google Slides. It can connect over Bluetooth or a local network, and it supports features such as remote slide navigation, speaker notes, and slide previews where supported. On Mac, users may also use it for pointer or mouse-style control during a presentation. This is a focused productivity tool for teachers, speakers, trainers, and anyone who wants mobile control over a presentation running on macOS.

Safety overview
Status: Mostly safe
PPTControl Desktop is a legitimate presentation-control tool. On macOS it may request permissions such as Accessibility, Automation, Bluetooth, or local network access so it can control slides, interact with presentation apps, and connect to your phone or tablet. Those requests are consistent with its purpose. If you no longer use PPTControl, you can remove the app and revoke its permissions in System Settings.
Recommendation: Keep PPTControl Desktop if you use your phone, tablet, or Apple Watch as a remote for presentations on your Mac. If you no longer present with PPTControl, removing it is reasonable and will only stop its remote-control features until you reinstall it.
