PDFoo

What is PDFoo?

PDFoo is a macOS PDF utility that helps users create precise links to specific places inside PDF documents. It is designed for people who read, annotate, research, or reference PDFs regularly and want faster ways to return to the exact page, section, or note they were using before. The app can open PDFs through its own pdfoo:// links, making it useful in writing, study, legal, academic, and documentation workflows where PDF references need context. PDFoo also supports linking to table-of-contents entries, search results, and annotations, which can make notes in other apps more actionable. It works as a native Mac app rather than a web service, and it fits best into personal knowledge management and document-heavy workflows. PDFoo is published by Onekerato.

Key features

• Create direct links to specific PDF pages

• Search PDF content and link back to matching results

Safety overview

Status: Mostly safe

PDFoo is a legitimate Mac document utility for working with PDFs and links into their contents. Access to your PDF files is normal for its purpose, and using it may expose document names, notes, or linked locations within the apps and documents where you paste pdfoo:// links. If your PDFs contain sensitive material, be mindful about sharing exported notes or links with other people.

Recommendation: Keep PDFoo if you actively use linked PDF references, annotation exports, or research notes that depend on pdfoo:// links. If you no longer use those workflows, you can remove it, but any saved pdfoo:// links in your notes or documents may stop opening correctly afterward.
