What is Pages?

Pages is Apple’s document creation app from the iWork suite. People use it for writing letters, reports, resumes, brochures, and other formatted documents, and may encounter it as an installed application or through its document associations and saved files.

Pages is a legitimate Apple application. Removing the app or its support data can affect access to Pages-specific settings, recent document information, local caches, and unsynced or locally stored document data if present.

Recommendation: Keep it if you use Pages or open .pages documents. If you do not use it, removal is generally optional, but review any locally stored documents or iCloud-synced work before changing app or data files.
