OnVUE is legitimate exam software, but it is designed for secure test delivery and may request access to your camera, microphone, and parts of macOS screen or automation controls that support proctoring. That access is normal for its purpose, but you should use it only for a scheduled exam and close it when finished. If you no longer take exams through Pearson VUE, removing the app is usually fine and mainly affects future online test sessions until you download it again.

Recommendation: Keep OnVUE if you regularly take Pearson VUE online exams or have an upcoming test appointment. If you installed it for a past exam and do not expect to use it again, you can remove it and download a fresh copy later when needed.
