What is Mixxx?

Mixxx is DJ software for macOS that helps users create and perform live mixes with a digital music library. It is designed for beginner and experienced DJs who want deck-based mixing, beatmatching, cueing, looping, and effects in a native desktop workflow. The app supports multiple decks, built-in effects, hotcues, tempo and key tools, and recording and broadcasting features for sharing sets. Removing the app can also remove its saved library settings, mappings, and history if you delete its support files.

Recommendation: Keep Mixxx if you use your Mac for DJ practice, live mixing, controller-based performance, or recording sets. If you no longer use it, you can remove the app and then clean up its support and preference files to free space, knowing that your Mixxx library settings and custom configuration may be lost.
