Liftr
Liftr is a fitness training app for iPhone and Apple Watch that helps users plan workouts, log sessions, track progress, and record nutrition.
What is Liftr?
Liftr is a health and fitness app for planning and tracking strength training and running-related workouts on Apple devices. It helps users build workout routines, run live training sessions, log sets, reps, weights, and rest times, and review personal records and progress over time. The app includes exercise browsing by muscle group, support for custom routines and common training splits, and optional Apple Health integration for syncing workout data. It also offers food and nutrition logging, with an optional AI photo-based food scan described in its terms. Liftr is designed for individual users who want a structured workout journal and training companion rather than a general social network or gym management platform.

Safety overview
Status: Mostly safe
Liftr is a legitimate fitness app with optional access to Apple Health, camera, photos, notifications, and location depending on which features you use. Those permissions are consistent with workout tracking, reminders, and photo-based nutrition features, but you should only enable the ones you want. Workout history is stored locally on your device by default, so removing the app can also remove your saved training data unless you have exported or otherwise backed it up. Treat AI-based nutrition estimates as general guidance rather than medical or allergy-critical information.
Recommendation: Keep Liftr if you actively use it for workout planning, exercise logging, or nutrition tracking. If you no longer use it, removing it is reasonable, but export or save any training history you want to keep first because local app data may be lost when the app is deleted.
