IPSecuritas
IPSecuritas is a macOS VPN client for creating IPSec connections to office or home networks through compatible firewalls and routers.
What is IPSecuritas?
IPSecuritas is a native macOS IPSec VPN client that helps users connect securely to office and home networks through compatible firewalls and routers. It is designed for people who need manual control over VPN connections on a Mac, including small-business users, administrators, and remote workers using IPSec-based gateways. The app includes setup assistance for creating connections, tools for managing certificates, and support for authentication methods commonly used by IPSec devices. It also supports profile-based connection settings, NAT traversal for use on public or mobile networks, and network-aware behavior to help maintain connectivity when conditions change. IPSecuritas is published by Christoph Nadig through Lobotomo Software and is offered as a freeware Mac utility for supported versions of macOS.

Safety overview
Status: Mostly safe
IPSecuritas is a legitimate VPN client, so network access, VPN configuration, and authentication prompts are normal for its purpose. Because VPN software can route traffic to private business or home networks, use connection profiles you trust and keep your credentials and certificates protected. Removing the app can also remove saved VPN settings or certificates you still need for remote access.
Recommendation: Keep IPSecuritas if you actively use IPSec VPN connections on your Mac or need it for access to a work or home network. If you no longer use those VPN profiles, you can remove it, but export or note any important connection settings first so you can restore access later if needed.
