What is G-Force Standalone?

G-Force Standalone is a native macOS music visualization app used to turn live, line-in, microphone, and routed audio into animated visual effects. It is part of the G-Force product from SoundSpectrum and is intended for users who want visuals outside a media player plug-in workflow. On Mac, it is useful for visualizing external audio inputs, live performances, internet radio, and other sound sources that can be routed into the app. Users can choose an available audio input source, adjust visual responsiveness, and run the visualizer as a standalone experience rather than inside another player. It fits best in music playback, event, display, and ambient visual setups where the main goal is real-time audio-reactive graphics.

Key features

  • Visualize live audio from microphone, line-in, and other available input sources
  • Run the visualizer as a standalone app instead of inside a media player
  • Select and switch between available audio input sources
  • Adjust visual responsiveness and sensitivity to match the audio signal
  • Use routed system audio from compatible macOS audio-routing setups
  • Display animated, audio-reactive graphics for listening rooms, events, or ambient screens

Safety overview

Status: Safe

This is a legitimate audio visualization app component. Access to audio input devices is normal for its purpose, and it may need microphone or other audio-input permission if you want it to react to live sound sources. If you remove it, the standalone visualization mode for G-Force will stop working, but that does not normally affect unrelated apps.

Recommendation: Keep G-Force Standalone if you use G-Force for live audio visualization, external inputs, or routed sound on your Mac. If you only use other parts of G-Force and never launch the standalone visualizer, you can remove it with little impact beyond losing that specific mode.
