Frameit

What is Frameit?

Frameit is a photo and video app for Mac that helps artists, galleries, and sellers present artwork in realistic framed mockups. It lets you place paintings, drawings, or photos into digital frames, preview them on virtual walls and interior scenes, and create polished visuals for listings, portfolios, and social media. The app includes frame customization options, room and background scenes, and tools for adjusting artwork presentation so users can show how a piece may look when displayed. It also supports short promotional video creation for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, which can be useful for marketing artwork online. Frameit is published by Jiahk and is aimed at users who want a faster way to visualize, style, and share framed art from a Mac workflow.

Key features

• Add digital frames to artwork and photo images.
• Preview artwork in room scenes and wall displays.
• Customize frame styles, widths, and presentation details.
• Use virtual backgrounds and staged interiors for mockups.
• Adjust artwork appearance before exporting previews.
• Create short promotional videos for social sharing.

Safety overview

Status: Mostly safe

Frameit is a legitimate creative app for building framed-art previews and marketing visuals. Access to your photos or files is normal for this kind of workflow because the app needs source images to create mockups and exports. The App Store listing says the developer may collect some contact, identifier, usage, and diagnostic data, so use only the permissions you need and review the app's privacy choices if you sign in or subscribe.

Recommendation: Keep Frameit if you actively create framed artwork previews, room mockups, or short promotional clips for art sales and sharing. If you no longer use it, removing the app should mainly affect your ability to edit or export projects in Frameit.
