eLC-Uninstaller
eLC-Uninstaller is the macOS uninstaller included with Steinberg's eLicenser Control Center to remove the legacy eLicenser licensing software.
What is eLC-Uninstaller?
eLC-Uninstaller is a macOS utility for removing Steinberg's legacy eLicenser Control Center from a Mac. It is typically used by people who previously installed Steinberg software or content that depended on eLicenser-based licensing and no longer need that licensing system. The tool is distributed as part of the eLicenser installer package rather than as a general standalone app, so most users encounter it only during installation or cleanup. Its main job is to uninstall the eLicenser components that supported older license management workflows for compatible Steinberg products. This makes it relevant mainly for music production and audio software users who are cleaning up an older Steinberg setup or moving to newer licensing methods.
Key features
- Remove the eLicenser Control Center from macOS
- Support cleanup of legacy eLicenser licensing components

Safety overview
Status: Mostly safe
This is a legitimate Steinberg utility used to remove older eLicenser licensing software. Running it is normally safe when you no longer use Steinberg products or content that depend on eLicenser, but uninstalling that licensing system can prevent older licensed apps or add-ons from working until it is reinstalled. Use it when you are intentionally cleaning up legacy Steinberg licensing components.
Recommendation: Keep eLC-Uninstaller only if you still need to remove or troubleshoot an older eLicenser installation. If your Steinberg software no longer relies on eLicenser, you can remove this utility after cleanup; if you still use older eLicenser-based products, leave the licensing components in place until you are finished with them.
