Duplicate Photos Sweeper
Duplicate Photos Sweeper is a photo cleanup app for Mac that helps you find and remove duplicate or very similar pictures to free storage space.
What is Duplicate Photos Sweeper?
Duplicate Photos Sweeper is a Mac photo management app for finding duplicate and similar pictures and helping you remove unwanted copies from your library. It is published by Wise Tech Labs and is aimed at users who want to tidy large photo collections, recover disk space, or reduce clutter after imports, backups, and repeated downloads. The app focuses on comparing photos so you can review matches before deletion, which is useful when organizing family albums, screenshots, and media folders. Users typically run it when their Photos library or picture folders have grown difficult to manage and they want a faster way to identify repeated images. It fits best in cleanup and photo organization workflows rather than full photo editing, and it is designed as a native Mac utility in the Photo & Video category.

Safety overview
Status: Mostly safe
This app works by accessing your photos or picture folders, so requests for photo-library or file access are normal for its purpose. The main practical risk is accidental deletion of pictures you still want if you remove matches too quickly. Review results carefully before confirming deletions, especially for similar photos that are not exact duplicates.
Recommendation: Keep Duplicate Photos Sweeper if you actively use it to clean up photo libraries or free space. If you no longer use it, removing the app is usually reasonable and should only affect your ability to run future duplicate-photo scans from this tool.
