DesignCraft
DesignCraft is a native page layout and publishing app for creating multi-page documents with spreads, styles, threaded text, and print-ready export.
What is DesignCraft?
DesignCraft is a graphics and design app for page layout and publishing on macOS, with builds also offered for Windows, Linux, and the web. It helps users create multi-page documents such as magazines, brochures, books, and other print or digital layouts using spreads, parent pages, frames, threaded text, styles, swatches, and text wrap. The app is developed by Learning Machines LLC as part of the ArtCraft family of open-source creative tools. DesignCraft supports professional typography features including a Knuth–Plass paragraph composer, dictionary hyphenation, optical margin alignment, and baseline grids. It also works with open and interchange-focused workflows through its native format, IDML import and export, PNG export, and print-ready PDF output. Designers, publishers, and creative teams may use it when they want a native desktop layout tool that fits familiar publishing workflows without relying on a subscription service.

Safety overview
Status: Mostly safe
DesignCraft is a legitimate publishing app. For normal use, it needs access to documents and design assets you choose to open or save, which is expected for layout software. Your project files, imported media, and local preferences may be stored on your Mac, so keep backups of important work and only open files from sources you trust. If you remove the app, your exported documents stay where you saved them, but local settings and recovery data may no longer be available.
Recommendation: Keep DesignCraft if you use it for page layout, publishing, or document design. If you no longer create projects with it, you can remove the app; just make sure any files you want to keep have been saved or exported first.
