On Mac, it also supports background tasks tied to app updates, notifications, and some syncing features. Status: Mostly safe
Creative Cloud is legitimate Adobe software and its background activity is consistent with its role as an app manager for installs, updates, syncing, fonts, and notifications. On macOS, disabling its login item or related background components can stop automatic updates, file syncing, and Adobe alerts. It may use network access and local storage in support of Adobe account features and installed apps. If you no longer use Adobe software, removing Creative Cloud is usually reasonable, but expect Adobe app management features to stop working.
Recommendation: Keep Creative Cloud if you actively use Adobe apps or rely on Adobe updates, syncing, fonts, or subscription management. If you have stopped using Adobe software, you can remove it to reduce background activity, but do so knowing that installing updates and managing Adobe services from the desktop app will no longer be available.
