Safety overview
Status: Mostly safe
This is a legitimate news app from Tencent for reading articles and media content. Normal use may involve internet access, notifications, location-based content, search history, and analytics or advertising-related data handling that is common in large media apps. If you use it, review its notification, privacy, and location settings so the app only accesses the data and alerts you want.
Recommendation: Keep 腾讯新闻 if you actively use it for news reading on your Mac. If you do not use it, removing it should mainly affect your saved app settings, subscriptions, downloads, and in-app reading convenience rather than macOS itself.
