Claudoscope
Claudoscope is a macOS menu bar app for viewing, searching, and analyzing local Claude Code session history, costs, and activity.
What is Claudoscope?
Claudoscope is a native macOS developer tool for exploring Claude Code and Claude Cowork sessions stored on your Mac. It helps developers review conversation history, inspect file edits, track token usage and estimated costs, and monitor active sessions from a menu bar interface and dashboard window. The app is designed for people who use Claude Code regularly and want better visibility into how sessions evolve across projects. Claudoscope also includes configuration browsing and session-focused alerts that can help users notice stalled work, exposed secrets, or other issues that need attention. According to its public product materials, session data is processed locally on the Mac rather than uploaded to a cloud service. It is published by Liran Baba and targets modern macOS workflows.

Safety overview
Status: Mostly safe
Claudoscope is intended to read Claude-related session and configuration files already stored on your Mac, which is normal for its purpose. Because those files can contain code, prompts, and sensitive text, use the app only if you are comfortable giving it access to that local developer data. Public product materials say processing stays on the device, but users should still treat any session viewer as software that may expose private project content on screen to whoever is using the Mac.
Recommendation: Keep Claudoscope if you use Claude Code or Claude Cowork and want local visibility into session history, costs, and changes. If you no longer use those tools, removing Claudoscope is reasonable and should mainly affect your ability to view that data through this app.
