Astropad Workbench
Astropad Workbench is a remote desktop app for accessing and controlling your Mac from another Mac, iPad, or iPhone over the internet.
What is Astropad Workbench?
Astropad Workbench is a native remote desktop app that helps you access and control a Mac from another Mac, iPad, or iPhone. It is designed for people who want to reach a desktop Mac while away from their desk, including users working with a Mac mini, iMac, or other always-on Mac setup. Workbench supports remote viewing and control of your Mac desktop, switching between displays, and input methods such as touch, keyboard, gestures, Apple Pencil, and voice-to-text on supported Apple devices. It also includes tools for managing connected devices and adjusting the remote viewing experience while you work. Workbench is built for Apple-device workflows rather than general IT support across many platforms, and the Mac acts as the host device for remote access. Astro HQ LLC publishes the app.

Safety overview
Status: Mostly safe
This app is legitimate remote access software. To work properly, it may need normal permissions for remote control features and can access your Mac while the host computer is on, awake, and signed in to your account. Because remote desktop tools can expose whatever is open on the host Mac, use a strong account password, enable two-factor authentication if available, and only leave remote access enabled on devices you trust.
Recommendation: Keep Astropad Workbench if you use it to reach your Mac remotely from Apple devices. If you no longer need remote access, you can remove it, but you will lose the ability to connect to that Mac through Workbench until you reinstall and set it up again.
